Tang Pig

I found this little pig in Antwerp, in a shop specialized in antiques from ancient Europe. Between hundreds of items this one stood out to me.

It is a burial ceramic from the Tang dynasty, 618-907 AD. It is made from a red firing clay, and shows some remains of cold-painting. It shows the life-like modelling that is seen in the Tang dynasty. The size is only 9 cm.
