This Han dynasty horse came to me as a project. It was restored, and broken again. It is made of the typical Han grey pottery.
The legs were broken in pieces, and some dirt was applied to hide previous restorations. After cleaning all restorations revealed themselves; Legs, neck, and possibly the tail. After restoration a nice piece revealed itself.
Interesting detail is an impressed marke in the side. Possibly a makers mark or the owners name.
These horses were burial objects. A similar horse is in the Eason Eige collection.
Giel. So nice to see your horse again & the great job you did for restoration. Also great to view you wonderful finds in one place. I am going to look into a membership on this site.Best,,,bob
