This model of a building was made in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 25 – 220) It is probably a pigsty. It is simply made of slabs of grey clay. This simplicity is it charm, it becomes an iconic form of a shed. The piece was coarsely restored, and after taking it apart, I re-restored it as simple as possible. This piece was made for in a tomb, and represented an actual building.
