This is a Southern Song Longquan bottle vase. It is 14,3 cm. high, light brown stoneware with a layered deep shiny Longquan
glaze. The glaze has a subtle crazing, and the bottle has a repaired chip to the rim, and gold repair to a missing chip. The bottle stems
from the private collection of Nora Rockliff, purchased through Blitz. The bottle is quite a rare specimen, and very hard to
catch it´s beauty on pictures. It has a quiet beauty and perfect elegance.
Similar pieces can be found in Sichuan Provincial Museum from the Shifang Hoard. A known example was in the Gordon Collection.
