A quite large (18 cm) celadon plate with impressed pattern. Grey stoneware with impressed pattern of Lotus flowers . Bought this hidden interesting piece at auction, I probably was the only one who knew it is a Yuan dynasty Yaozhou piece. The Yaozhou kiln was declining at the Yuan dynasty, and this piece is heavily potted. The foot is also less refined. Still a beautiful piece, and Yuan Yaozhou pieces appear to be rare and poorly documented.
