An amber glazed Liao dynasty plate. A rough stoneware with a rich amber colored glaze, 19 cms. From the estate of Jack Faxon, Birmingham, senator, and creator of the Michigan council for the arts. The glaze is exceptional and a world withing a world. Typical tripod marks on the inside.
